The Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) was established in January 1992 to spur the development and growth of the Malaysian timber industry. MTC supports its stakeholders by creating awareness on the effective use of Malaysian timber species for various applications to achieve the desired outcome. The Council, through its network, also helps to connect building developers as well as specifiers like architects and interior designers with timber suppliers who offer a wide range of products and services.
Since its establishment, MTC has been the ears and eyes of the Malaysian timber industry across the globe. It has established a vast network involving suppliers, manufacturers and importers, and also researchers and technical experts.
